HOW TO OBTAIN TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE (TCC) IN NIGERIA

                                                         

A Tax Clearance Certificate is issued by:

a.    Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to Corporate Tax Payers

b.   State Internal Revenue Service to Individual Tax Payers

The following are the steps to obtaining a Tax Clearance Certificate:

For existing Companies:

1.   1.   Contact a Tax Consultant, usually a firm of Chartered Accountants

2.   2.  Filing of tax returns containing audited accounts, tax computations and       payment of tax liabilities/evidence of payment (if any) up to date

3.  3.  Filing for VAT up to date

4.    4. Application for Tax Clearance at FIRS online Portal

5.      5. Following up with application with FIRS to get your TCC
